POSTAER SANDSTEIN -mE- (with inclusions) is a medium to coarse-grained, siliceously bonded Elbsandstein of yellow-brown, also gray color with typical dark brown iron hydroxide concretions or light gray cavernous inclusions. These occur sporadically, but also nest-like. Very often it shows a banded or clouded structure between gray, yellow and brown layers.
POSTAER SANDSTONE is absolutely frost and weather resistant and, due to its special hardness and environmental resistance, is used in particular for architectural parts subject to high loads and splash water hazards as well as in landscaping. It is particularly suitable for step and floor coverings in outdoor areas, in base masonry, as bank and embankment stone as well as for hydraulic engineering, masonry or paving stone.
