Restoration works

A detailed architectural façade with an elaborate relief sculpture of a winged figure between the capitals of two columns, each with a carved face. The background consists of a high window framed by elaborate decorative elements made of exquisite sandstone from the Saxon quarry.

The restoration / renovation of historical - often listed - buildings is particularly close to our hearts. We are specialized in these topics and are happy to contribute our know-how already from the planning stage.

Redevelopment Augustus Bridge Dresden

From 2017 to 2021, we were involved in the extensive renovation work on the bridge, which was carried out in accordance with the preservation order. We reconditioned old stones and produced and installed new, solid blocks. The pulpits and undersides of the bridge presented a particular challenge, as work was partly carried out from the ship, including various lifting devices.

New building "Villa Zimmermann" Chemnitz

Humboldt Quarter Potsdam

A magnificent, historic European building in the Renaissance style with ornate sculptures, large windows and a high central entrance made of sandstone. Adjacent is a building with a series of arched windows. The surrounding area appears to be a quiet street or courtyard.

Church of Our Lady Dresden

Against the backdrop of a blue sky with thin clouds rises an ornate baroque-style church dome. The cream-colored structure made of Saxon sandstone is adorned with detailed carvings, small towers and clock faces, all bathed in the warm light of the setting sun.

In 1995, Sächsische SANDSTEINWERKE received its first order for the production and delivery of ashlars for the Frauenkirche in Dresden. As a member of the "ARGE Wiederaufbau Frauenkirche" (Working Group for the Reconstruction of the Frauenkirche), a total of approx. 15,000 m³ of new stone was planned, machine-produced and hand-worked in four construction phases until the completion of the facade work in 2004. Yee Potsdam

A four-storey neoclassical building with symmetrical windows and decorative statues on the roof. The façade, made of Saxon sandstone, has large arched doors on the first floor and rectangular windows above. A tree-lined street runs in front of the building.

BERLIN PALACE / HUMBOLDT FORUM

New building state parliament Brandenburg

Private Villa

A large, beige-colored building with classic architectural elements, including columns and a decorative balcony. A terrace is furnished with white garden furniture and a green parasol. Tall trees can be seen in the background, creating a lush, picturesque backdrop that complements the building's stunning sandstone façade.
