PAVING SLABS FOR YOUR GARDEN

HOW TO GET MORE OUT OF YOUR GARDEN

Summer is approaching and the garden is once again spruced up. The living room under the open sky offers space to let off steam, get away from it all and every year the question arises again, which project to tackle this time. After all, the garden is an oasis of well-being, which is available at any time, even far from travel, improves the quality of life and it is a place for leisure and recreation.

A garden that is tailored to your needs and designed according to your ideas definitely also needs high-quality materials with a distinctive look. In this regard, you can become a do-it-yourselfer yourself or approach and hire the garden and landscape contractor you trust.

An important design element here are the floor tiles. They can be used universally and give every garden its very own character through their diverse selection of shapes, colors and sizes. Whether for the terrace, the pool area, the driveway, as a base for tables and chairs, for the barbecue corner or a walkway in the garden - our floor slabs are known for their durability and versatility. Especially our POSTAER sandstone is particularly robust and therefore very suitable for your flooring. You can choose from a color spectrum and tell us your desired dimensions. We will produce everything individually for you!

Garden design with paving tiles - how to get more out of your garden

After you have decided on the type and color of sandstone for your floor slabs and have decided in which area the slabs are to be installed, the selection of the slab size is very important in order to complete the design. The slabs can be laid, for example, in strips of the same or different widths, in one of the different bond systems (e.g. Roman bond), diagonally, large-format squares, as polygonal slabs, etc. - there are no limits to your creativity and the design possibilities of the floor slabs are individual.

For pavers made of sandstone, we recommend the row bond. It is important here to ensure that the joints between the rows always match when laying so that the overall appearance is not disturbed or even destroyed. This is the only way to ensure a smooth, even result.

Tip: For larger areas, especially varied patterns, such as a diagonal laying of floor tiles and as a border several rows of natural stone pavers, are suitable. But be careful, if the area is too large, the pattern may draw too much focus to one point and destroy the image of the overall design.

Concrete or rather natural stone, that is the question here.

The choice is huge and the decision is difficult.

Concrete slabs attract especially with their price-performance ratio. They are the cheap alternative to natural stones. They are available in many shapes and colors and are easy to install. However, the dimensional accuracy and the associated smooth underside of the stones means that they slip quickly under heavy loads and therefore require additional fastening to counteract this. In addition, they are manufactured industrially and therefore have a poor ecological balance.

Natural stones, on the other hand, are more expensive, but promise more individual and unique results. They look very classy and give your terrace or garden path that certain something. Above all, natural stones are high-quality, durable and do not require any extra fastening, as they interlock with the substrate. Thus, they no longer slip under heavier loads and provide stability. In addition, natural stones are frost-proof, more durable and, unlike concrete, have a high color fastness. They bring a Mediterranean, rustic or even modern flair to your home garden, are easy to maintain and weather resistant. Do you value quality, uniqueness and are you looking for that certain something for your garden? Then we can only recommend our natural stone paving slabs.

Sandstone slabs in the garden - care instructions: This is what you need to consider.

Just like any piece of furniture, our sandstone slabs need to be taken care of from time to time so that you can enjoy them for a long time to come.

Of course, the good old-fashioned sweeping should not be missing. Keep the floor clean and use especially soft brushes. Clear water is sufficient for simply rinsing the stones, but if the care should be more intensive, then use a cleaning product tailored to the natural stones. It should be noted that the different natural stones also require different care. So always make sure you buy the right cleaning and care products and avoid acidic cleaners, such as vinegar or all-purpose cleaners.

Tip: Pay attention to the right temperatures, as the stones are best cleaned at +10 to +25 degrees.

Insider tip: A steam vacuum cleaner is particularly suitable for cleaning indoors.

If you want the sandstone to be bright for as long as possible, then you should protect it from weathering and dirt. You should impregnate the plates directly after laying. The impregnation prevents the stone from absorbing liquids and dirt, so it remains bright for longer. There are very different requirements and products, we advise you individually according to your needs!
